Restaurant Cornelius by the Fjords

Idyllically located on an island outside Bergen, you will find one of the most exotic attractions in the archipelago of Western Norway. The culinary journey starts the moment you enter the boat at the historic Bryggen Wharf, located right in the city centre, a 10 min. walk from our hotels.
During the approximately 30 minutes boat trip to Holmen, you can enjoy spectacular views of the fjord, mountains, and the bustling life along the coast.

Cornelius was established in 2003 and is one of Scandinavias most prestigiously seafood restaurants. Inspired by the daily weather, the “catch of the day” by the local fishermen and the raw beauty of the local fjords, Cornelius serves a menu, prepared using innovative culinary techniques and with a genuine passion for seafood.
The restaurant has its own herb garden, 8 seawater basins with lobster, crayfish, scallops, o-shells and oysters, seaweed and kelp are picked right outside the door.
Known for their wine cellar, Vingrotten, there are thousands of wine bottles from all corners of the world. The cellar is carved into the rock behind the restaurant, and it has natural cooling from the sea and constant high humidity.

Important information:
Departure from your hotel at 18:45 (you will be escorted by foot) to Dreggekaien (wharf), Skur 8, where our boat will be departing at 19:00.
Estimated time of arrival at Cornelius 19:30. 
Estimated time of our return 23:00.
Special price per person NOK 500 including sightseeing of our lovely fjords to/from the restaurant, welcome to Cornelius, 3 course dinner.
